Quick Start Guide

Getting started with CS2.TEAM is quick. We use Steam authentication so there's no email or password required. You'll need a Steam account — if you don't have one, create a Steam account here.

Sign in with Steam

  1. Click Sign in with Steam anywhere on cs2.team
  2. You'll be redirected to Steam's secure login page on steamcommunity.com
  3. Enter your Steam credentials (we never see your username or password)
  4. You're in — your account is created automatically on first sign in, and a short welcome flow helps you set up your profile
Is Steam sign in secure?

Yes. CS2.TEAM uses Steam's official OpenID sign-in. You sign in directly on Steam's own login page — we never see your username or password. The only identifier we receive is your SteamID64, which we use to fetch your publicly available Steam data (display name, avatar, game stats).

Set Up Your Profile

A complete profile helps teams understand who you are and whether you're a good fit. You can edit everything from Settings:

  • Display Name — pulled from Steam by default, customisable (3–32 characters)
  • Bio — a short description of yourself and what you're looking for
  • Country — sets your country flag; your region (e.g. Europe West) is derived from it automatically
  • Languages — up to 3 languages you communicate in
  • Roles — the CS2 positions you play: Entry, AWP, IGL, Lurker, Rifler, Support, or Coach
  • Playstyle — Competitive, Casual, or both
  • Custom URL — claim a personal profile link like cs2.team/player/yourname
Make your stats sync

Your Steam Game details must be set to Public for your CS2 stats to sync. Go to your Steam Privacy Settings, set Game details to Public, then revisit your CS2.TEAM profile. See Profiles & Stats for how syncing works.

Connecting Accounts

Steam is connected automatically. From Settings you can also link:

  • Discord — shows your Discord username on your profile so teams can reach you, and unlocks the PRO Discord role if you're subscribed
  • Google — links your Google account and email to your CS2.TEAM account

Both can be disconnected again at any time from Settings.

Find a Team

Head to the Team Finder — it's the front page of cs2.team. Browse teams that are actively recruiting, filter by region, roles, playstyle, languages, rating, and FACEIT level, and open any team to see its full page: roster, requirements, and open roles.

Found a fit? Hit Apply, pick the roles you're applying for, and optionally add a short message. The team's owner reviews applications and you'll get a notification when they respond. Full details in Finding a Team.

You can also flip the finder to the Players board to scout who else is looking.

Create a Team

PRO required

Creating a team requires a CS2.TEAM PRO subscription. Joining teams is free.

If you're looking to build a roster rather than join one, create your own team: set its identity, post your requirements, and review applications as they come in. See Creating a Team for the full guide.
