Creating a Team
Creating a team requires a CS2.TEAM PRO subscription. A player can own one team and be on at most 5 teams in total.
Getting Started
Go to cs2.team/create and provide:
- Team Name — 3–30 characters
- Team Tag — 2–5 alphanumeric characters, shown alongside your team name (e.g. NAVI, FAZE)
- Bio — optional, up to 2,000 characters
Your team gets its own page at cs2.team/your-team (the URL is generated from your name and can be customised later), and a recruitment ad goes live on the Team Finder immediately — you can edit or close it right after creation.
Everything else is managed from your team's admin area at cs2.team/your-team/admin:
- Settings — name, tag, bio, custom URL, country, visibility (public/private), Discord invite, website, Steam group
- Branding — upload a logo (up to 5 MB) and banner (up to 8 MB); PNG, JPEG, or WebP
- Recruitment — your ad's open roles, requirements, and open/closed status
- Members — your roster
- Applications — your inbox of incoming applicants
Your team URL can be changed from team settings — lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, 3–30 characters. Changes are limited to once every 14 days, and route names like pro or settings are reserved.
Recruitment
Your Ad
Your recruitment ad is what players see on the Team Finder and on your apply page. From Admin → Recruitment you control:
- Open roles — which of the seven CS2 positions you need (Entry, AWP, IGL, Lurker, Rifler, Support, Coach)
- Requirements — optional gates you expect applicants to meet: Premier rating range, FACEIT level range (1–10), minimum hours played, region, country, and up to 10 accepted languages
- Playstyle — Competitive, Casual, or both
- Status — set the ad to Closed when your roster is full; reopen it any time
Requirements are shown to applicants alongside their own synced stats, so expect applications that actually match.
Application Inbox
Incoming applications appear in Admin → Applications, with each applicant's profile, stats, roles, and message. Accept to add them straight to your roster, or Reject (optionally with a reason). Rejected players can re-apply after 14 days.
Teams owned by a free account can receive up to 50 applicants in total across the ad's lifetime. PRO owners have no limit.
Bumping Your Ad
Ads are ordered by recency, so older ads drift down the board. As a PRO owner you can Bump your ad once every 24 hours to push it back to the top. Consecutive daily bumps build a streak shown on your ad.
Managing Your Roster
A team roster holds up to 5 active members. The owner can:
- Assign in-game roles — give each member one CS2 role (Rifler, AWP, IGL, etc.), shown on your team page so players can see which positions are filled
- Remove members — owner-only, from Admin → Members
Members can leave a team at any time from the team page. As the owner you can't leave your own team.
Visibility
- Public teams have a browsable team page at their URL.
- Private teams are hidden from visitors — useful while you're setting things up.
Your ad only appears on the Team Finder while its status is Open.
