Creating a Team

Pro Required

Creating a team requires a CS2.TEAM PRO subscription.

Getting Started

To create a team, click Create Team from your dashboard. You'll need to provide:

  • Team Name — 3–30 characters (letters, numbers, spaces, hyphens, underscores, periods)
  • Team Tag — 2–5 characters, shown alongside your team name (e.g. NAVI, FAZE)
  • Visibility — Public or Private (see below)

Everything else can be added from your team settings after creation — bio, quote, logo, banner, region, and social links including Discord, your website, and your Steam group.

Team Recruitment

Join Requirements

From your team settings you can restrict who can join:

  • Invite Only (default) — players must apply or be invited directly
  • Anyone can join — players who meet your requirements can join instantly
  • PRO subscribers only — limits membership to CS2.TEAM PRO users
  • Languages — players must speak at least one of the languages you select

Inviting Players

To recruit a specific player, go to their profile and click Invite to Team. They'll receive a notification and can accept or decline. Accepted invites are instant — no approval step.

Managing Applications

For invite-only teams, incoming requests appear in your team's Applications tab. Review each request and accept or decline. There's a limit on how many pending requests a team can hold at once.

Bump Team

Like player profiles, you can Bump your team once every 24 hours to push it to the top of team discovery. Consecutive bumps build a streak shown on your team profile.

Managing Team Members

Your team can have up to 50 members, with an active roster of 5. The team's rank is calculated from the average rank of the active roster, so keeping it up to date ensures your team appears accurately in search results.

Active Roster

The active roster represents your starting five. As owner you can drag to reorder members and assign each one an in-game CS2 role — Rifler, Sniper, Support, Entry, or IGL.

Assigning Roles

Go to your team page, select an active roster member, and assign their role. Roles are visible on your team profile and help players understand the positions you have filled or need.

Removing Members

Select a member on your team page and click Remove from Team. Only the team owner can remove members.

Leaving a Team

Members can leave at any time from the team page. As team owner you cannot leave — you would need to transfer ownership or delete the team first.
